Colorthon 5K Fundraiser

The popular family friendly fundraising event will begin with registration at 8 a.m. in the club parking lot, though pre-registration options are available and strongly encouraged.
Proceeds from the Colorthon will be donated to Lompoc Valley Medical Center to help fund the opening of Lompoc Health – Village Center, a new healthcare facility designed to serve Vandenberg Village, Vandenberg Space Force Base and the entire Lompoc Valley. Anticipated to open in early 2026, this much-needed health center will expand access to primary care, urgent care and specialty services such as ENT.
At the Colorthon, participants will run or walk a pre-arranged 5K course through a series of “color stations” where volunteers will toss multi-colored powder (cornstarch), at runners.
Everyone will start off together, moving at their own pace through various “color stations.” The event is not timed. This popular event is open to runners, walkers and joggers of all ages.
Pre-registration is open for sign-ups as individuals, a family or in a group, at lhdfoundation.org/color. Pre-registration cost is $30 for each adult; $25 each for a Team of 4 and $15 each for participants ages 12 to 5. Children younger than 5 will be admitted free with a parent or guardian but will not receive an event t-shirt. Pre-registration closes Sept. 19.
Registration will also be available on the day of the event, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Day of registration costs are $35 per adult, $30 each for a Team of 4 and $15 for children ages 12 to 5.
Military discounts are available for active duty, retired or reserve U.S. military members and families.
Numerous sponsorship levels are also available, from $200 trail sign sponsorship to various levels of sponsorship from $1,000 to $10,000.
On the day of the event, carpooling is strongly recommended. Also, Clubhouse Road will be closed to vehicular traffic for a short period of time immediately after the event begins.
On the day of the event, check-in begins at 8 a.m. and will end promptly at 8:45 a.m. The 5K begins at 9 a.m.
